Harness Safety Training from Training 4 Safety helps to equip operators and supervisors with the knowledge they need to work safely at height and comply with all current relevant safety legislation. The Work at Height Regulations state that employers must ensure any operative or supervisor planning or working at height, or managing people working at height, have the necessary training. If you or your operatives use safety harnesses as part of your normal duties, Training 4 Safety recommends that you engage in suitable and sufficient training.

We offer four courses, ranging from an introductory, half-day Level 1 course to Level 4 which covers rescue and retrieval of casualties. The course contents in brief are:

  • Level 1 covers the basics and is aimed at operators responsible for using safety harnesses, lanyards and associated FPE (Fall Protection Equipment) in the work place (half day)
  • Level 2 covers the basics in Level 1 and details the use of harnesses at rooftop level (full day)
  • Level 3 is a half-day course outlining how to conduct formal inspections of FPE and accurately record the findings
  • Level 4 describes the rescue and retrieval of operators after arrested falls and is a full day course

No previous knowledge is required for any of the above courses however a head for heights is recommended for any practical training!
